| Minutes/Report: DATE: February 10, 2005 - Report to Executive Council LOCATION: ATTENDEES: GUEST(S): MINUTES STATUS: EARLY AWARENESS COMMITTEE Report to Executive Council , February 7, 2005 PROJECT (2004): BOOKMARKS FOR PUBLIC LIBRARIES PRINTED : 52,500 Bookmarks PLACEMENT : Sent letters to 28 libraries throughout the state Have placed 43,300 bookmarks at 166 Libraries in the following areas: Syracuse, 31 sites Rochester, 1 site Albany, 1 site Lackawanna, 1 site Binghamton, 1 site Glen Cove, 1 site Manhattan/Bronx/ Staten Island: 81 sites Southern Tier , 48 sites PROJECTS for 2005: Committee met via conference call on January 26th. Members: Kim Buerger- Niagara CC, Laura Burns-Wells, Anne DelPlato- Nelnet, LaSonya Griggs- St Rose, Brian Ghanoo -Fordham, Ann Higgins- HESC, Susan Nesbitt-Perez – CICU, Irwin Silver- Devry, Suzanne Tang- Pace. Focus: elementary and middle schools Theme: Committee currently deciding on a new theme or may keep the current “It’s Sooner than you think” theme 1st project: brochure patterned after the one written in 1999. Distribution method: 1: work through the PTA via their 16 regions throughout the state 2: any contacts that NYSFAAA members have with individual schools.
