Notes/Report: DATE: June 15, 2005 - Region 3 report to Exec NYSFAAA Region 3 Report to Executive Council June 15-17 2005 1. Update on Higher Education day at the New York State Fair. Higher Ed Day will be Friday September 2, 2005 Contracts have been returned to State Fair and Insurance rider has been requested Payment will be July 1st Including our table we have rented 18 tables. I have the list if anyone is interested. Cost to NYSFAA will be $611.00 for the table. Less then the last two years. I have sent invoices and insurance requests to the other participants. 2. Next Friday is our Regional meeting. We will have a short business meeting then a “Wish him well” party for Jan Klotz. The meeting is being held at the Aurora Inn. 3. Our newly created Training Committee has met. Lots of positive energy in the group. They have already used the Survey Monkey software to send out a request to the Region asking for input into training topics. 4. Question from members about Conference mailings. When to expect the information. 5. There was a suggestion to send an “everyone” reminder that it is time to renew membership. Some continuing members seem to be dropping off regional email list? Do we know why? 6. Conference Calls Currently available to State Chairs-what are we doing if a Regional committee chair would like to use the conference call capability? POSTED BY: Sharon Karwowski
