today’s meeting. They can be found
in the “Regional News” section under “Region 3 Notes/Report”. Some highlights of the report were
discussed.

Committee
Reports:
CAAN – Annette sent Nancy
a reminder that we still need volunteers for some upcoming activities which
include the Channel 9 News call-in show, a WCNY Public Station FA feature and a
Post Standard article. Please
contact Annette if you are interested in helping.
School Counselor Workshop
– Both workshops were well attended.
Pat Johnson has stepped down as co-chair for the region workshops. Her responsibilities for the State Chair
position will be her focus going forward.
Kate Bellefuille has agreed to remain as Chair and has indicated that she
is comfortable filling the position alone.
She would welcome a co-chair if someone wants to do it but it is not
necessary.
Support Staff Workshop –
Two new co-chairs have stepped forward for next year’s workshop. Annette Broski & Rose Patterson from
Mohawk-Valley Community College will take the reigns in
2006.
Program – Tentative topics
have been scheduled and they are currently working to organize the
speakers. It is believed that
January’s topic will be “How to Choose a Preferred Lender”. Vince Scalise is
working on the arrangements for the presentation.
Training:
Jeff Hanson, of Access
Group, provided an excellent presentation entitled “Becoming Credit Safe;
Strategies for Protecting Yourself From Identity Theft”. He will be following up with hand-outs
for all who were in attendance.
