Notes/Report: DATE: June 14, 2006 - Region 3 report to Executive Council Region 3 Report to NYSFAAA Executive Council June 14-16 Auburn, New York •Regional Budget-Budget has been submitted to the State Treasurer •Guidance Counselor Workshop-organizational meeting next week. Will be seeking to include middle-school if possible •Support Staff Workshop-Committee has met and the Workshop is scheduled for Oct 24th at the Craftsman Inn in Fayetteville. •Next year’s meeting schedule-Dates have been set and are on the NYSFAAA calendar. December’s meeting may need to change. Waiting to find out when Executive Council is meeting and that the Sherwood Inn is available. •Program Committee-These are the areas that our regional meetings will focus on: Re-authorization, Counseling techniques, Appeals/Special conditions, Personal Development, Difficult employees, Life Cycle of a loan, and Conference Promotion •June Training meeting-Steve Morgan from MBG will be the speaker followed by a buffet lunch. Associate members will pay for their lunches and Active members will have the Region treasury cover their lunches. •2008 Conference-Bill Cheetham presented and led a discussion over the serious concerns about having the conference at the Turning Stone.
