Notes/Report: DATE: September 17, 2007 - Book your NYSFAAA Conference Room ASAP I learned yesterday that we may run into a hotel problem (beyond the Saturday night situation). Our discounted block at the Sheraton NY will be released back into the general reservation pool on September 26th as per the contract. If people have booked their room reservation, they have no problem. Here's the problem: The Mets and the Yankees are expected to be in the playoffs. It will be impossible to find a room (much less afford that room) once either team knows there will be playoff games. This is all expected to happen during our conference time. Like our Saturday problem ( 5 people want Saturday to Wednesday room reservations. While we have Sunday to Wednesday rooms available, our Saturday block is sold out), this is NYC and hotel rooms go quickly. If they don't, they go expensively.
