February Regional Meeting - One of the most requested topics from our training survey was a session on Time Management.
The February meeting will be held on February 24th
at
Managing Time – 24 Hours and Counting – Time is finite but, seemingly, the work is not. Do you manage your time or does it manage you? In the business world, working smarter is better than working harder. How you use your time often determines how much you get done and, ultimately, how much time you have for yourself. What can we do within our work environments to smartly prioritize and structure activities, projects and tasks? This session covers all that and more, including dealing with daily distractions and avoiding the dreaded crisis management syndrome. Presented by EdFund.

The January meeting, attended by 50 people, included a short business meeting and a full-day training on Needs Analysis and Professional Judgment. Heather McDonnell was the trainer. It was co- sponsored by the College Board and Teri Loans and held at the American Bible Society.
We are planning a meeting for March and April, at one of these two meetings we hope to do a workshop on identity theft. For our summer meeting we are considering pairing a stress management workshop with a relaxing event.
We are in the process of discussing:
A support staff workshop
An in-depth federal update
A membership-building event.
An interest has been expressed in creating a separate health professions committee, or a sub group of the Graduate/Professional Concerns committee. We will try to investigate how wide spread this interest is.
