Region VI Report to Executive Council September 14-15, 2006 (By Angela Van Dekker)

 

June meeting and membership Development Event was held June 22, 2006

Lunch/business meeting and Stress Management & Team Building workshop were held at the Bruno Jamais Restaurant on E 81st St. (bet. Madison & 5th Ave.)

From 2:30 - 4:30 current and new members, networked, relaxed, and had fun with colleagues on a team-based scavenger hunt adventure at the at the Metropolitan Museum.

Report on June Executive Council meeting and clarification of the circumstances surrounding the email from the President elect and the resulting conversations at Executive Council was given.

 

There were 84 registrants for the meeting. 70 members actually attended.  Of that 70, 7 were new recruited members sponsored by current members.

 

The September meeting will be a panel discussion on:

“ACG/SMART grant.  What are you doing?”

Time:     1:00 pm – 5:00 pm

 

Region VI was chosen to be audited and all requested financial documents have been sent to Marilyn Faller.

 

There is difficulty securing space for the meetings and other events.

 

Guidance Counselor Workshop is scheduled for Nov. 16th at Fordham University.
