10am – Opening Remarks

10:15 - Confidence, Conflicts and Escalation: OH MY! - Julie Lawton - Cognition
The pandemic has left us all feeling a little rattled. In this session we will have fun discussing ways to bring our Confidence Back! Additionally, we will learn strategies to deal with escalated issues and approach intense customer situations.

11:15 - Post Pandemic: What we now know are the most effective communication methods when working with students - Anne Traverso, Sofi
The pandemic caused some challenges to the traditional forms of communication between students and financial aid offices. In this session we will discuss the top ways financial aid teams reach students and the best practices associated with each.

12:00 - Networking lunch (provided by NYSFAAA)

Our long-time treasurer Perry Brown, from the College of Westchester, has recently stepped down and will be retiring soon, and Mary Lou Kutchma, from Marist, is also retiring soon. We would like to honor them both for their service to the region.
