WELCOME TO NYSFAAA’s

FREE NASFAA CREDENTIALS TRAINING

2020-2021

Dear members:

It is with great pleasure that we announce this year’s online, webinar-based, professional development opportunity that is free to members- NASFAA Credential Training. Normally, NASFAA does not allow us to offer these trainings remotely. Due to COVID-19 they have changed their policy.

We have decided to purchase the materials for 10 credentials and offer it to 20-21 paid NYSFAAA Members FOR FREE. Credential tests are not included in virtual training. However, NASFAA is currently offering a 50% discount on credential tests through June 30, 2021.  The discount is available to anyone not just credential training participants. CLICK HERE for instructions regarding how to apply for a test.

It is important to note that:

We highly recommend participating in the training and taking the credential exam. There is no requirement that you take the exam but earning the credential can be very important for your career going forward. Some people believe that our profession will eventually require us to have credentials and possible certification. This is an excellent opportunity to participate in remote credential training and to sit for the related exams at a reasonable cost.

    1. Each training session can accommodate up to 120 people.
    2. If we reach capacity you are invited to join the waiting list. Depending on how many people are on the waiting list we may repeat the credential training topic.
    3. If you register for the credential training and cannot make it, please let us know so we can place one of the people on the waiting list into the session.

On behalf of NYSFAAA, the SWT Committee and us your SWT Subcommittee for NASFAA Credentialing, we look forward to bringing this important service to NYSFAAA this year.
